The NFL has six head coaches with absolute final say on player personnel decisions in Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots, Mike Shanahan of the Washington Redskins, Sean Payton of the New Orleans Saints, Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks, Chip Kelly of the Philadelphia Eagles and Jeff Fisher of the St. Louis Rams.

Belichick and Payton are the longest tenured coaches of the group, while Kelly and Fisher were hired over the past two offseasons.

The NFL's other head coaches have varying degrees of control depending on how the power dynamic with the general manager is structured.

Tavon Austin has the best odds of winning the 2013 Offensive Rookie of the Year award at 5-1.

Austin was drafted eighth overall by the St. Louis Rams and is expected to play right away as a slot receiver and as a punt returner.

Montee Ball of the Denver Broncos is ranked second, followed by Eddie Lacy of the Green Bay Packers.

EJ Manuel and Geno Smith rank fourth and fifth.

The St. Louis Rams have named Daryl Richardson its starting running back.

Richardson had 475 yards on 98 carries (4.8 YPC) while splitting time with Steven Jackson last season.

Isaiah Pead will be his backup.

The St. Louis Rams are considering a complete overhaul of their uniforms.

The Rams had a brighter blue until changing to their current colors.

"I think at some time in the next five years, you'll see a complete uniform -- throwback and current uniform -- change," team executive Kevin Demoff said. "I'd be surprised if we didn't have it."

The St. Louis Rams are searching for their starting running back.

Steven Jackson has been the Rams' starting running back since he was picked 24th overall in 2004.

Jeff Fisher pointed to Daryl Richardson over Isaiah Pead as the logical replacement at running back.

“I think Daryl comes back as our starter because he played significantly more last year than anybody,” Fisher said. “And so Isaiah is working himself up and competing with Daryl. And you’ve got the rest of the guys that are just going to battle it out, and we haven’t ruled anybody out from that matter. But we’re going to try to get as many carries as we can.”
