Rams To Remain In St. Louis

Oct 1, 2014 11:50 PM

One of the new owners of the Rams says he has been approached by ?several people? about selling the team, and there is ?every intention? of keeping the team in St. Louis, as reported Tuesday by the Associated Press. Chip Rosenbloom issued a statement, denying a report by Yahoo Sports that the team was on the market for up to $900M, with a sale raising the possibility of a return to Los Angeles. The story quoted former 49ers' owner Eddie Bartolo and cited other unnamed sources.

Orlando Pace Working Towards Training Camp

Oct 21, 2014 3:20 PM

St. Louis tackle Orlando Pace said on Saturday that he is feeling good and looking forward to training camp with the team this summer, according to The Associated Press. "I'm just getting ready for training camp," said a smiling Pace. "I'm not going to complain about missing some of training camp, but we'll see what the doctors say." Pace tore a labrum and rotator cuff in his right shoulder in the team's 2007 opener against Washington. Rams' Coach Scott Linehan will limit Pace's repetitions in minicamp in hopes that they don't overextend him. "Orlando is not going to take much at all until we get back into training camp," Linehan said. "He will do all of the walkthroughs and the individuals. He will be cleared and good to go for training camp. We can't put him in that position yet."

Will Holt Bolt From Rams?

Oct 21, 2014 9:10 AM

Torry Holt raised eyebrows a few weeks ago when he talked about playing on the same team as his brother Terrence, who plays safety for the Panthers, when his contract runs up, according to The St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "I wanted to just send in my resignation to the Rams and join him down here," Holt told Raleigh, N.C., television station WRAL with a laugh. "What better place to come and play football than in your home state?" Holt was joking, to a degree, but has just two years left on his current contract with the Rams. "I have this year and next year, and hopefully I can finish those years out," Holt said. "Then, I'll see where I'm at. I'll see where I'm at physically. I'll see where I'm at emotionally, financially." "And then, if they would like to do something here, I'll consider it. If not, then I'll have the option to go and explore and give my services somewhere else. So if that happens, Carolina will definitely be the first choice ? no question about it. But I have '08 and '09 left to play, and that's what I plan on doing," Holt added.
