Oct 6, 2014 8:05 AM

Rams' running back Steven Jackson hopes to return this weekend against the Cardinals after missing a game because of a thigh injury. "I'm practicing to play, if that tells you anything," Jackson said Thursday. St. Louis Coach Jim Haslett believes Jackson has a 50-50 shot to play on Sunday. "I think he's going to be a game-time decision, but he worked a little bit today," Haslett said. "I know he feels a lot better."

Rams Send Tape Of Non-Calls To NFL

May 17, 2014 11:31 PM

The Rams have sent a tape of non-calls against the Patriots to the NFL after New England was called for zero penalty yards on Sunday. "Never ever, ever, ever played a perfect team before," Rams' guard Richie Incognito said about the disparity, according to the report. "That's all I am going to say on that one." During the game, the Rams were flagged 12 times for 63 yards; the Patriots were flagged once, with the Rams declining that penalty. "It doesn't help. It just lets them know you know," Rams' Coach Jim Haslett said of the decision to send the tape.

Rams' Jackson Optimistic About Injury

Jun 13, 2014 4:32 AM

St. Louis running back Steven Jackson is optimistic that he'll be able to take the field against New England on Sunday despite a thigh injury. Jackson watched his teammates practice from the sideline on Wednesday. "No need to rush," he said. "We have until Sunday to make a game-time decision. But if I could tell anybody, and if my fans are concerned, it's definitely going in the right direction."

Steven Jackson Hurts Thigh, Could Sit

Jul 28, 2014 2:06 AM

Rams' running back Steven Jackson ran for three touchdowns against the Cowboys on Sunday but could miss the team's next game because of a thigh injury suffered in the fourth quarter. "We think it's just a bruise," Jackson said after the game. "We're going to get some more tests, an MRI in the morning, just to make sure. But it's just a little tight. I'm able to walk, and I'm able to bend it. So that's a good sign." He was walking with a visible limp after the game, and there was some concern that the injury could sideline Jackson for a week or two. Coach Jim Haslett said he had planned to take Jackson out of the game "on the next play" before the injury.

Romo Will Be Active, But Won't Start

May 1, 2014 12:56 PM

Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo will not start for the team against the Rams, but he will be active. Romo, who had started 32-straight games before Sunday, has a fractured right pinkie and has only seen limited work in practice this week. It is unclear whether Romo will backup Brad Johnson, his replacement, or be the No. 3 quarterback behind Brooks Bollinger.

Portis: Zorn Didn't Have Redskins Ready

Jul 7, 2014 1:17 AM

Redskins' running back Clinton Portis doesn't believe that Coach Jim Zorn had the team ready for their game against the Rams on Sunday. "I think it was loose. It was people smiling everywhere: us, coach," Portis said of the past week. "You know, we overlooked a team that came here ready to play. And honestly, we've been the underdogs since I've been here, and we came out with fight every game we was the underdog. Win, lose or draw, we came out to fight. So for us to expect St. Louis not to come out and fight, I don't know how we let them shock us like that." "You know, it's some games that we really should come in and dominate. I think this was one of those games. . . . I think it's a focus thing. You know, the previous four games the focus was there. We knew that we couldn't go out and put ourselves in that position. We come out today, and all of the sudden you start to get patted on the back, and you feel like you're a better team."

RealGM?s Week Six Rundown: Field Goals Aplenty

Jun 11, 2014 2:34 PM

Chances are you saw a majority of the thirteen games played on Sunday in the NFL?s Week Six, but there is no need to worry if you weren?t taking in all of the action. RealGM is here to help summarize all that went down as NFL teams took the field in the second weekend of October. We will also showcase each game's top FIC* (field impact counter) performers using RealGM editor Chris Reina's innovative statistical system, and calculate each team?s Trench Counter**. St. Louis 19, Washington 17 Team Trench Counter: Rams -15.2, Redskins +15.2 The St. Louis Rams (1-4) won their first game of the season on Sunday in a thrilling battle against the Washington Redskins (4-2). The Rams were horrible offensively, managing four field goals, but the defense had their best effort of the season at FedEx Field. O.J. Atogwe scored the only touchdown of the game for St. Louis, on a 75-yard fumble return in the second quarter. Marc Bulger went 15-for-26 with 136 yards in the win, while Steven Jackson had 79 yards on twenty-two carries against the Redskins. In addition to the punt return by Atogwe, the Rams sacked Jason Campbell three times and forced three fumbles. Tampa Bay?s secondary bothered Jake Delhomme all afternoon long, intercepting him three times. Delhomme went 20-for-39 with 242 yards, throwing often as the Panthers trailed early. The Buccaneers got on the board early when Geno Hayes returned a blocked punt 22 yards for a touchdown just a few minutes into the game. Bush had 67 total yards and two touchdowns, with Lance Moore leading the Saints in receiving (97 yards) once again. Justin Fargas and Darren McFadden combined for 65 rushing yards, as a field goal in the first quarter marked the Raiders' only points of the game. Sources: 6 Wins Key For Rams' Haslett

Jul 3, 2014 6:08 PM

Six wins will be key for Rams' Coach Jim Haslett this season, but it won't necessarily ensure his return to the sideline in 2009. If the Rams win six games under Haslett, he and his defensive staff will reportedly earn extensions that would assure them of a salary for 2009 even if they get fired, according to team sources.
