Mr. Irrelevant Ramzee Robinson, the last player selected in the NFL draft, agreed to a three-year deal with the Lions. Robinson agreed in principle to the deal on Thursday, his agent Andrew Benedict said Friday. The 5-foot-10, 186-pound cornerback from Alabama became the 23rd player to be recognized as Mr. Irrelevant. He was the 255th selection in the seventh round of the April draft, the last of Detroit's eight picks.

In March, Jon Kitna predicted that the Lions would win 10 games this season. "See, that was 10 games before I saw the schedule, too," the quarterback told WDFN-AM (1130) this week. "I'll keep to myself what I think we actually will win. But it's more than 10 games." The Lions went 3-13 last season and are 24-72 in the Matt Millen era.

Lions defensive tackle Shaun Rogers is being investigated in an alleged sex crime involving a woman at a strip club, the Detroit Free Press reported on its web site Monday. According to the report, the incident occurred early Friday morning at a club on the city's west side. The newspaper also reported that a spokeswoman for the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office said her office received a request for an arrest warrant from Detroit police. The warrant accuses Rogers of criminal sexual conduct. No charges have been filed.

Johnnie Morton's transition from the NFL to Mixed Martial Arts didn't go as planned for the former wide receiver. Morton, 35, was knocked out just 38 seconds into the first round of his match against Bernard Ackah on Saturday night and then was suspended by the California State Athletic Commission after refusing to supply a urine sample for drug testing. Morton wasn't available to comment on the fight or the suspension, the Los Angeles Times reported.
