Kansas City Chiefs president Carl Peterson revealed he received a call from Detroit Lions president Matt Millen on Friday asking if the two could speak at this week's NFL owners meetings in Phoenix in regards to Trent Green.
"I don't think they've even started yet," Peterson said of the negotiations. "I haven't seen Randy Mueller and I'm going to see Matt (Millen) here in a few minutes. I think it's early. We all agreed we were going to discuss it this week at the league meetings. We haven't discussed it (yet)."

Agent: Broncos Shopping Al Wilson
Al Wilson's new agent confirmed Thursday night that the Broncos are shopping around for a trade partner but that a deal for the star middle linebacker isn't imminent.
The NFL Network reported Thursday that talks with the Giants have heated up after the Lions and Eagles showed strong interest.
Lions Reunite McDonald With Martz
The Lions signed Shaun McDonald to a two-year deal Monday, reuniting the free agent wide receiver with former Rams coach and current Detroit offensive coordinator Mike Martz.
In four seasons with St. Louis, McDonald had 106 receptions for 1,215 yards and four touchdowns. He agreed to terms with Detroit last week, and the signing was announced Monday.
Duckett Signs With Detroit
Free agent running back T.J. Duckett signed a one-year contract Friday with the Detroit Lions.
An agreement on Duckett's contract was reached a week ago.
Lions Leaning Towards Quinn?

The agreement was reached late Friday with the former Michigan State star, Lions spokesman Bill Keenist said Saturday.
Lions Agree To Five-Year Deal With DE White
The Lions agreed to terms on a $29 million, five-year contract with free agent defensive end Dewayne White on Sunday, filling one of their offseason needs.
White arrived in the Detroit area on Friday and met with the coaches and front-office personnel on Saturday.
He played for Detroit coach Rod Marinelli when he was the defensive line coach for the Buccaneers.
Report: Lions Trade Bly To Broncos For Tatum Bell, Foster, Pick
The Detroit Lions have agreed to send cornerback Dre' Bly to the Denver Broncos in exchange for running back Tatum Bell, tackle George Foster and a draft choice, believed to be a fifth-round pick.
Trades cannot become official until Friday, the first day of the league year.
