McMahon: Cutler Relies Too Much On Arm Strength
Former Bears quarterback Jim McMahon says that Jay Cutler relies too much on his arm strength.
Speaking to the Denver Post recently, McMahon was critical of Cutler's decision-making.
"The little bit that I saw when I'd watch replays of his interceptions, I'd think, 'Where is he throwing the ball?' " McMahon said. "The guy has a great arm, but I think he relies on that too much."
McMahon is the last Chicago quarterback to make the Pro Bowl.
"You don't have to throw it through the wall to be a good quarterback in this league," McMahon said. "You need timing and instincts. You can't teach instincts. You either got 'em or you don't."
Report: Martz Met With Cutler
Mike Martz met with Bears quarterback Jay Cutler in Nashville on Saturday, according to a published report.
Martz is a candidate for Chicago's offensive coordinator job.
The Bears quarterback has met with offensive coordinator candidates during the interview process at Halas Hall, but Saturday is the believed to be the first time a candidate has traveled to meet with Cutler.

Former Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis, now the offensive coordinator for the Chiefs, said he thought there was a chance he might fill the same role with the Bears before he joined Todd Haley in Kansas City.

The Bears have received permission to speak with Chargers' assistant head coach/tight ends Rob Chudzinski, according to a knowledgeable source.
Chudzinski is expected to interview with coach Lovie Smith.
The request put Norv Turner in an awkward position, as Chudzinski is interviewing for a job occupied most recently by Norv's brother Ron.
Forte Undergoes Knee Surgery
Matt Forte had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee within the last two weeks, according to multiple sources.
The clean-up procedure followed a post-season MRI.
Forte sprained the medial collateral ligament in his knee during the Bears' 25-19 victory at Seattle in Week 3, though it is unclear if the surgery is in relation to that injury.
Although Forte ran better toward the end of the season, he averaged just 3.6 yards per carry, down from his 3.9-yard average as a rookie.
Chicago's Dvoracek Arrested In Oklahoma
Bears defensive tackle Dusty Dvoracek was arrested in Oklahoma on Saturday following an altercation at a bar.
Dvoracek was charged with public intoxication, assault and battery and interfering with an official process.
He allegedly hit a security worker at Seven47.
Gaines Adams Dies At 26
Gaines Adams died Sunday morning after he was taken to a Greenwood, S.C., emergency room, the county coroner said.
Greenwood County Coroner James T. Coursey told ESPN that Adams was taken to the emergency room at Self Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9 a.m. ET Sunday morning.
An autopsy will be performed Sunday by the Anderson County forensic pathologist, Coursey said.
Adams was the fourth overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft.
