Ray Rice Progressing Towards Possible Return To NFL

Sep 11, 2016 4:36 PM

Ray Rice may get the chance to return to the NFL this season, according to a source.

Rice hasn't played since 2013 following his indefinite suspension by the NFL for domestic violence that was later overturned by a neutral arbitrator.

After Week 1, NFL player contracts no longer are guaranteed for the season.

Rice told USA Today Sports in July that he would donate his entire 2016 salary to charity if signed by an NFL team this season.

The Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills have considered signing Rice in the past.

Rice has continued to work out and people within the NFL have been impressed by how he's handled his exile. The league office has even considered hiring Rice as a spokesman.

Justin Forsett Re-Signs With Ravens

Sep 5, 2016 8:15 PM

Justin Forsett has re-signed with the Baltimore Ravens.

Forsett was released over the weekend. Forsett was set to make $3 million in 2016.

By cutting Forsett, the Ravens were able to carry defensive lineman Carl Davis and safety Matt Elam on their initial 53-man roster. Both Davis and Elam were then put on injured reserve on Monday.

Terrance West has been the Ravens' most impressive running back in the preseason.

Justin Forsett Expected To Re-Sign With Ravens

Sep 4, 2016 9:10 PM

The Baltimore Ravens waived Justin Forsett in what was a somewhat surprising transaction.

But Forsett is likely to re-sign with the Ravens.

Forsett rushed for 1,266 yards in 2014 and missed most of 2015 with a broken arm.

Terrance West was a third round pick by Cleveland in 2014 and was considered a bust before his impressive offseason and preseason. West had 25 carries for 101 yards and two touchdowns.
