Terrell Suggs Suffers Torn Left Biceps

Oct 17, 2016 12:03 AM

Terrell Suggs tore his left biceps in the Baltimore Ravens' Week 6 loss to the Giants.

Suggs wants to play and the injury is not considered season-ending at this point.

Suggs also suffered a torn biceps during the 2012 season but played through the injury.

Injuries have affected Suggs' impact in recent years. He suffered Achilles injuries in 2012 and 2015, which caused him to miss significant time.

Ravens Fire Marc Trestman As Offensive Coordinator, Promote Mornhinweg

Oct 10, 2016 6:39 PM

The Baltimore Ravens have fired Marc Trestman as offensive coordinator, replacing him with quarterbacks coach MArty Mornhinweg.

"My obligations are to the team, the organization and the fans to be the very best team we can be," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said in a statement. "Today we find ourselves one game out of the division and conference lead after experiencing two tough losses at home. We will work to be better in every aspect of our football team. Our expectations are high, and we look forward to fulfilling them.

"I appreciate and respect the efforts and contributions Marc has made to the team since his arrival. Marc is a good person and an excellent football coach."

Baltimore (3-2) ranks in the bottom 10 in points scored (18.8, 23rd), total yards (338.2, 23rd), third-down conversion (35.5 percent, 24th) and offensive penalties (19, eighth-most).

Ravens Release Justin Forsett

Oct 5, 2016 8:29 AM

Justin Forsett has been released by the Baltimore Ravens in what is being described as a "mutual" decision.

Forsett was inactive Sunday against Oakland and met with Ozzie Newsome on Tuesday to express his preference to find another team.

"It was mutual," Forsett told the Ravens' official website. "I felt like my opportunity here was closing. I'm at a phase in my career where I don't want to sit; I want to play. I have a lot of football left in me."

Forsett was benched in favor of Terrance West.

Ravens Aren't Ready To Name Terrance West Lead Running Back

Oct 4, 2016 8:32 AM

Terrance West ran for 100 yards on Sunday, the first Baltimore Ravens running back to do so in nearly a year, but John Harbaugh isn't ready to name him the club's lead back just yet.

"I'm not going to get into all of that," Harbaugh said. "I think that's all great to write about, but it's nothing for us to waste any energy on. We're going to put the guys out that are playing well."

Justin Forsett was surprisingly inactive this past week and rookie Kenneth Dixon is nearing his return from a late-August MCL sprain.

"Justin Forsett is a highly respected, highly valued guy in my eyes," Harbaugh said of his roster issue. "It's a competitive world that we're in. It's a competitive league, it's a competitive sport, and he knows that as well as anybody. It doesn't diminish him in any way. It just enhances him, in terms of how he's handled it. We'll just have to see."
