FOXSports.com has learned that the Saints and defensive end Charles Grant have agreed to a seven-year deal that includes a whopping $20 million in guaranteed money.
The Saints had made Grant their franchise player this off-season, but that tag comes off with the new contract.

Colts Decline To Match Saints' Offer Sheet To David
The defending champions have lost both of their starting cornerbacks.
The Colts on Thursday declined to match the four-year, $16.5 million offer sheet that Jason David signed with the Saints last week.
Since David was a restricted free agent who was tendered a contract, the Colts will receive a fourth-round pick as compensation in this weekend's NFL draft.
Will Colts Decide To Keep Jason David?
By next Friday, Jason David will know whether he'll spend the next four years in Indianapolis or New Orleans.
Either way, he'll be a rich, happy man. David signed a four-year offer sheet with New Orleans on Thursday, a deal agent Cary Fabrikant said would change David's life.
"Right now, Jason is in a great situation," Fabrikant said Friday. "The Colts could be in a great situation and the Saints are in the same situation."
It all depends on what the Colts decide.
Report: Bush's Would-Be Agent Won't Sue, Reaches Settlement
Reggie Bush's would-be agent and former landlord to Bush's parents has settled with the Saints star and his family, according to media reports.
The San Diego Union-Tribune and Yahoo Sports reported Friday that Michael Michaels, who had threatened to sue, had settled with Bush and his family. Yahoo reported that according to sources, the settlement was worth between $200,000 and $300,000.
Saints Sign Patten
The Saints signed receiver David Patten to a one-year contract Thursday, hoping the 10-year veteran can rebound from two disappointing seasons with the Redskins.
A Saints spokesman confirmed the deal, but couldn't release financial details.
Patten was cut last month two seasons into a five-year, $13 million free-agent deal he signed with the Redskins after helping the Patriots win three Super Bowls earlier in the decade.
Saints Release Carney
As requested, the Saints released kicker John Carney on Thursday, two days after trading for Olindo Mare.
The 43-year-old Carney was the Saints' all-time leader in field goal accuracy percentage (.833). He joined the Saints in 2001 and will be entering his 18th NFL season.
Saints Acquire Olindo Mare
Olindo Mare was traded by the Miami Dolphins to the New Orleans Saints, ending the kicker's weeks of waiting for a change of scenery.
The Dolphins are getting the Saints' sixth-round pick, No. 199 overall, in this month's draft.
Moving Mare seemed inevitable when the Dolphins signed former New York Giants kicker Jay Feely as a free agent earlier this offseason. But Mare remained on Miami's roster for weeks, with the team unwilling to immediately cut him and unable to work out a deal with another team until now.
