It is not yet known who will represent the Dolphins at the hearing, which will be presided over by arbitrator John Feerick.

Dolphins DT Fred Evans Arrested On Miami Beach

Oct 11, 2014 10:57 PM

Dolphins defensive tackle Fred Evans was arrested early Saturday after he refused to leave a taxi on South Beach and then fought with officers, police said. Police twice used a Taser gun on Evans, according to the arrest report, in attempts to subdue the 6-foot-4, 305-pound player who appeared in one game as a rookie last season with the Dolphins. Officers said they asked Evans to leave the taxi and, after he refused, they attempted to put him in handcuffs. He allegedly resisted, leading to the scuffle. Evans was charged with multiple counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting with violence, along with single counts of disorderly intoxication and trespassing. One officer was allegedly bitten on the wrist and a female officer sustained scrapes on her left knee, police said.

Miami's Taylor: Green Could Be Scrambled Eggs

Oct 1, 2014 9:50 PM

Jason Taylor's recent pledge to stop giving opinions to reporters might have come too late. The Dolphins' defensive end is quoted in a national magazine this week as saying he doesn't have confidence in quarterback Trent Green's ability to take a hit after missing eight games last season due to a serious concussion. In a profile on Taylor in this week's Sports Illustrated, the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year is quoted as saying about Green: "This is off the record--oh, what the hell, it's on the record: He'd better not get hit. One big hit, and he could be scrambled eggs."

Culpepper Hearing Set For June 29

Oct 1, 2014 11:19 PM

The Dolphins and Daunte Culpepper will have an arbitration hearing June 29 in hopes of resolving the quarterback's status with the team. The NFL Players Association filed a grievance on Culpepper's behalf on Tuesday, claiming the Dolphins breached the quarterback's contract by not allowing him to participate in team drills during this past weekend's three-day minicamp, and thus not allowing him to compete for a job. Dolphins officials, who have kept quiet about Culpepper, declined comment on the hearing that will take place at New York.

Daunte 'Fine' After Crash

Oct 2, 2014 12:31 AM

The latest dramatic chapter of this story won't alter Daunte Culpepper's future in Miami. And it won't result in any more grievances against the Dolphins or knee surgeries. Instead, it will just require some automotive bodywork. "My heart is broke," Culpepper said in an e-mail Thursday. "A guy rear-ended my 1975 convertible Caprice classic. I had just got a new paint job." Culpepper was involved in a two-car accident during a rainy Wednesday night on the Sawgrass Expressway in Coral Springs, a Florida Highway Patrol spokesman said.
