Panthers' Lucas Leaves Game With Groin Injury

Carolina CB Ken Lucas left Sunday night's game against the Cowboys with a groin injury. Lucas was injured in the first quarter when he tackled Terrell Owens after a 6-yard completion. He got up slowly, limped back to the huddle, but had trouble on the next play, he fell down behind the ball, which was intercepted by teammate Chris Gamble.

The Carolina Panthers signed guard D'Anthony Batiste on Saturday and placed linebacker Dan Morgan on injured reserve. Morgan announced Wednesday he'll miss the rest of the season due to lingering effects of at least the sixth concussion of his career, suffered in Carolina's season-opening loss to Atlanta.

Carolina Panthers rookie running back DeAngelo Williams left the Week 5 game against Cleveland after injuring his right ankle on a first-half carry. Williams, a first-round draft pick, was hurt when he went down in a pile on a 4-yard gain with about five minutes left in the second quarter. He had to be helped to the sideline while putting little weight on the leg, then was carted to the locker room after being examined behind the bench.

Panthers' TE Seidman Likely To Miss Rest Of Season

Panthers tight end Mike Seidman has a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and will likely miss the rest of the season. Seidman, who had been starting, injured his knee in the win over Tampa Bay on Sept. 24, but coach John Fox claimed they didn't know it was a torn ACL until "the last couple of days."
