Toronto mayor Bob Ford hopes to bring an NFL team to the city.
Ford says the four groups have approached city hall with hopes of bringing a team north.
Ford's brother, Coun. Doug Ford, said a new team would be good for the city's economy.
"How can we bring tourism to Toronto? How can we create jobs? Great fit would be an NFL team," Ford told CBC News.

Wannstedt, Bills Nearing Deal
The Bills are working on a deal with Dave Wannstedt to make him their linebackers/assistant coach, according to a source.
Wannstedt has a history with Buffalo head coach Chan Gailey, who served as offensive coordinator under Wannstedt with the Dolphins in 2000 and 2001.
The Chargers, Panthers and Browns also had expressed interest in Wannstedt for various coaching roles.

Dave Wannstedt visited with the Bills on Thursday.
The former University of Pittsburgh coach is in line for a job with Buffalo, according to a source.
Wannstedt is looking for an assistant job in the NFL.

Bills Re-Sign Merriman To Two-Year Deal
The Bills have re-signed linebacker Shawne Merriman to a two-year deal.
Buffalo general manager Buddy Nix confirmed the deal on Saturday.
Merriman has been riddled by injuries and did not play a down for the Bills after he was claimed off waivers at midseason.
"We know the situation, we researched it, we did all our homework with Shawne," Nix said. "Everything you do is a little bit of a gamble. There's reward and upside to it and I think both sides are happy with the way the contract is structured."
