NFL's 32 Teams Collectively Worth $99 Billion

Aug 26, 2020 1:29 PM

The average NFL franchise is worth more than $3 billion, according to data compiled by Sportico.

The Dallas Cowboys rank first in the NFL at $6.43 billion with the Cincinnati Bengals ranking last at $2.12 billion.

The fair-market value of the NFL's 32 franchises collectively is $99 billion when considering team-related businesses and real estate held by owners.

The teams’ $15.83 billion in revenue in the last fiscal year, which represents the 2019 season, was greater than that of 298 companies on the Fortune 500. That averages to about $495 million per team.

In 2019, the Cowboys generated an estimated $871 million in revenue, which was 81% greater than the average of the other 31 teams.

Budda Baker, Cardinals Agree To Four-Year, $59M Extension

Aug 25, 2020 11:16 AM

The Arizona Cardinals and Budda Baker have agreed to a four-year, $59 million contract that makes him the highest-paid safety in NFL history.

Baker recorded 147 tackles last season, his third since being selected in the second round of the 2017 draft out of Washington.

Baker does not have an interception since entering the NFL, however, and has played the most coverage snaps (1,261) of any player during that span to have not intercepted a pass.

Aug 19, 2020 9:05 AM

DeAndre Hopkins has missed practice with a hamstring injury, but questions have also been raised about whether he might actually be sitting out because he's unhappy with his contract.

The new Arizona Cardinals wide receiver dispelled the rumor on Twitter.

"No DeAndre Hopkins is not holding out. From the source," he wrote.

Hopkins has three more years left on his contract at salaries of $12.5 million this year, $13.5 million next year and $13.9 million in 2022.
