Jags Add Depth, Reach Deal With WR Thorpe
The Jaguars have added some depth to their receiving corps by signing wide receiver Craphonso Thorpe, according to ESPN.com's John Clayton.
Thorpe played for the Colts and was a fourth-round draft choice of the Chiefs back in 2005.
His one-year deal is worth $370,000.
Urlacher Reports For Mandatory Minicamp
Bears' linebacker Brian Urlacher reported for the team's mandatory minicamp on Friday, according to The Associated Press.
"When it says mandatory, you're supposed to be at those things, so that's why I'm here," Urlacher said. "I'm supposed to be here. I'm not trying to send any message. It's a mandatory team function, and we're supposed to be here."
He did not participate in the team's voluntary workouts because of displeasure with his nine-year contract that expires after the 2011 season.
"All that matters is I'm here with my teammates," Urlacher said. "That's really the only thing that matters right now."
Broncos: Mustard Out 8-10 Weeks
Broncos' tight end Chad Mustard has a strained leg muscle and will miss eight-to-ten weeks, according to The Denver Post.
The back-up tight end will have surgery on Tuesday to repair the torn hamstring.

Yahoo.com reports that the Jets have hired Scott Cohen for their newly created position of assistant GM, according to a person with the team.
Cohen will work with GM Mike Tannenbaum on day-to-day operations, the person said on condition of anonymity Friday night because the team hadn?t yet announced the hiring.
Cohen, 39, spent the last seven seasons as Philadelphia?s director of pro personnel.
Philly Extends GM Heckert; Name Roseman VP
The Eagles on Friday extended the contract of GM Tom Heckert through the 2011 season, as reported by Yahoo.com.
Heckert, who is entering his eighth season with the team, works with Coach Andy Reid in all player personnel matters. He originally joined the Eagles as the club?s director player personnel in 2001, was promoted to VP of player personnel in 2003, and to GM in 2006.
The Eagles also named Howie Roseman VP of player personnel.
Redskins Sign Free Agent S Hamilton
The Redskins signed free agent safety Justin Hamilton on Friday, as reported by Yahoo.com.
Hamilton made 15 tackles for the Browns during the 2006 season. He was cut from the Browns on September 1, 2007, and did not play in the NFL last season.
Bucs Release QB Gradkowski; Re-Sign TE Stevens
The Buccaneers on Friday re-signed tight end Jerramy Stevens and released backup quarterback Bruce Gradkowski, as reported by the Associated Press.
Report: Vanderjagt Returning To Argos
A league source requesting anonymity told The Canadian Press on Friday night that Mike Vanderjagt, who earned two Grey Cup rings with Toronto before heading to the NFL after the 1997 season, has re-signed with the CFL club.
The move would be a homecoming for Vanderjagt, 38, a native of nearby Oakville, Ont.

The Packers plan to give legendary quarterback Brett Favre his locker from Lambeau Field, according to The Green Bay Press-Gazette.
"He'll get his locker," General Manager Ted Thompson said. "I kind of messed up the timing. I didn't realize people would have such a to-do about it, but the timing of it in order to do it properly will be in between our minicamp and training camp sometime, when things slow down, and (the maintenance staff) has time to go in there and do the work. We were kind of going to do it under the radar, but it obviously took on a life of its own."
