The trade between the Cowboys and Titans that will land cornerback Pacman Jones in the Lone Star State is nearly official, according to the Dallas Morning News. The Titans will also receive a sixth-rounder in 2009 if the cornerback stays out of trouble next season. Titans, Roos Agree On 6-Year, $43M Deal

Oct 29, 2014 7:48 PM

The Titans and left tackle Michael Roos have agreed to terms on a six-year, $43 million contract extension, according to the Tennessean. Roos will become the NFL's third-highest-paid tackle with the deal. "He is a low-key guy, and it takes an awful lot to get him excited, but he is smiling," his agent Cameron Foster said. "The beauty of this is I didn't have to twist any arms to make the Titans realize his value. They were pretty much fair out of the blocks, and this contract makes Michael the third-highest-paid tackle, behind Orlando Pace (Rams) and Walter Jones (Seahawks)."

Haynesworth: Titans Should Get Chad

Oct 30, 2014 5:19 AM

Albert Haynesworth, the leader of the Titans' defense, believes that the team needs to pry Chad Johnson away from the Bengals, according to the Tennessean. "We just need to add some more pieces if we want to go deep into the playoffs. I think we are still missing a bunch of pieces to make us an elite team that can go deep into the playoffs ,and until we address those, probably our peak will be 10-6," Haynesworth said on Monday. He has been rather outspoken this offseason, recommending that the team selects receiver Malcolm Kelly in the first round of the draft and trade with Cincinnati for Johnson.

The attorney claims that Jones has cooperated with authorities but wouldn't reveal how often he has met with police. "All we can say is Adam has cooperated with the authorities since the beginning, and if our cooperation has helped in apprehending the proper party then we are very satisfied," attorney Manny Arora said.
