Titans' quarterback Vince Young could return to practice this week, nearly a month after spraining his left MCL in the season opener. Young suffered some emotional issues, as well. "I'm happy with where he is," Tennessee Coach Jeff Fisher said. "I'm pleased with where he is mentally, emotionally, and physically because he's making strides." Young watched the Sept. 21 game from the coaches' box, and he moved to the sideline for Sunday's win over Minnesota. "He got the play, he knew what was going on, he was rooting for his teammates, he had a good week of rehab last week," Fisher said. "He threw today ? we're hoping to get him into practice this week, and we'll see where it goes."

Steve Spurrier wondered aloud why the Titans haven't tried running a spread offense with Vince Young. "I've sorta always thought the Titans ought to let Vince Young run that offense," Spurrier said. "That's what he did in college. They say he's going to get hit too much and knocked out of the game, but that's what he does best, is run and throw, and not be a drop-back passer.''

The Titans will aim to make history on Sunday when they take on the Vikings at home. Tennessee, 3-0, has never started a season with four-straight victories in their 49-year history. "I mean we're experienced, but we're not experienced in this situation," Tennessee defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch said. "I think this team has had a work-like attitude. We've been able to keep our focus despite the distractions. It's just another distraction. The best thing we can do is just focus on our next opponent."

Titans linebacker Stephen Tulloch has faced some tough running backs in his career, but calls facing Minnesota's Adrian Peterson this weekend a stiff challenge. "It is definitely a big challenge," Tulloch said Friday. "But this is what I play the game for and I love the excitement of playing against big-time players. The defense, as well as myself, is excited about the challenge."

Merril Hoge of ESPN made comments last week about Titans' Coach Jeff Fisher and Vince Young during a radio interview, but Fisher said Monday that some of those remarks were 'incorrect'. Later Monday night, Hoge said his remarks weren't intended to offend Young and tried to clear up some misunderstandings. ?I know people think that I hate Vince Young,? Hoge said. "I?ve never met Vince Young, and I don't want him to fail. I've been critical of him, but that's my job. Everything he has gone through, I hope he's able to work his way through it." Speaking on a Pittsburgh station last week, Hoge said Fisher told him he ?fought like crazy? to keep the Titans from selecting the Texas quarterback in the 2006 NFL Draft. Hoge also said Fisher told him he was going to threaten to use the Texas offense if the Titans picked Young, ?because he has no chance to run an NFL offense.?? But on Monday Hoge said he was the one who told Fisher he should run the Texas offense if the Titans picked him.

Titans' owner Bud Adams doesn't doubt that quarterback Vince Young will bounce back from his recent struggles both personally and on the field, according to Tennessean. "It has been a terrible thing, what he's been going through. But I still think he is going to be a great one," Adams said of Young. "Down the years I think we'll be glad to have him. He'll bounce back. He's liable to be playing here 15 years." The Titans are 3-0 this season, with Kerry Collins taking over for an emotionally and physically injured Young heading into Week Two. "Vince is going to come back and be a great player for us," Adams added. "Everywhere he has played he has been a star. He is just having some bad luck here. I just think when he got all that booing and everything, it was hard for him to handle. But I think he'll overcome that."

Kerry Collins became the fifteenth quarterback in NFL history to reach 35,000 career passing yards on Sunday, according to Associated Press. Collins, starting for the Titans, completed a 17-yard pass to Justin McCareins in the second quarter against the Texans to reach 35,000 yards.

Titans' Coach Jeff Fisher has called the police report that claimed Vince Young mentioned suicide to a psychologist false, according to Tennessean. Fisher said he's not worried about how Young will react to intense scrutiny and isn't worried about his mental state either. "It's absurd," Fisher said. "A lot of the stuff that has been said, a lot of the stuff that's out there, is just wrong. First and foremost, I think it's necessary to address the issue and move on. There's just a lot of incorrect information out there."

The Titans plan to stick with Kerry Collins at quarterback over Vince Young while the latter recovers from an injury and the team continues winning, according to Associated Press. "We're going to get Vince back, get his knee back, work with him, get him back involved in the offense," coach Jeff Fisher said. "But Kerry's going to go ahead and play for us until either he struggles or whatever else happens. Yeah, you saw by the way he played. In light of everything, it just makes sense to go with him." The Titans are 2-0 for the first time since 1999, when they made their only Super Bowl appearance.
