The Buccaneers had a +1.5 advantage in The Trench Counter, forcing two turnovers that were returned for touchdowns and matching the Chargers on a yards per play basis. San Diego had a +19 edge in Total Rushes/Completions.

Josh Freeman went 14-for-20 for 210 yards and two touchdowns.

The Patriots have acquired cornerback Aqib Talib, who has one game remaining on a four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

The Buccaneers announced the trade, completed before Thursday's deadline, but didn't say what they are receiving in return.

Talib is in the final season of his contract, according to an ESPN.com report.
