49ers Have League-High 12 Selections
The 49ers have more draft picks, 12, than any team in next month's NFL Draft.
Philadelphia is second with 10 and New England ranks third with nine.
The Lions have the fewest selections with just five.
Fairley Has Eight Visits Scheduled With Top-10 Teams
Auburn defensive tackle Nick Fairley is scheduled to meet with eight teams in the near future.
The Cowboys and Cardinals are the only teams picking in the Top 10 that he hasn't lined up a visit with.
That means he has meetings scheduled with the Panthers, Broncos, Bills, Bengals, Browns, 49ers, Titans and Redskins.
Von Miller To Visit Broncos, Browns And Others
Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller has upcoming visits with the Broncos, Browns, Titans, 49ers and Redskins, according to an NFL source.
Miller is also scheduled to attend the Cowboys local workout day.
The Butkus Award winner has a previous private workout with the Broncos, a meeting with Cardinals general manager Rod Graves and a visit with the Bills.
49ers Will Work Out Kaepernick
The 49ers plan to work out Nevada quarterback Colin Kaepernick, according to a source.
San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh and general manager Trent Baalke are expected to attend the workout on Friday.
The only other pro day Harbaugh has attended thus far is that of Texas Christian quarterback Andy Dalton, who, like Kaepernick, is widely rated as second-round prospect.
Von Miller Has Seven Workouts Scheduled
Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller has visits planned with seven of the first nine teams picking in next month's NFL Draft, according to a league source.
Miller is scheduled to travel to meet with the Bills (No. 3), Cardinals (No. 5), Browns (No. 6), 49ers (No. 7), Titans (No. 8) and Cowboys (No. 9).
He already met with the Broncos (No. 2).
Eagles Tampering With Westbrook?
The Eagles may have tampered with Brian Westbrook.
Westbrook, who said recently that he's open to a return to Philadelphia, admitted that he talks to Eagles coach Andy Reid regularly.
As an unrestricted free agent, who spent last season with the 49ers, tampering charges aren't out of the question.
Westbrook can't have contact with another NFL team until a new collective bargaining agreement is reached.
Harbaugh: There Will Be No Hostility With Carroll
49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh said at the NFL Scouting Combine recently that there would be no hostility between himself and Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll.
The two frequently crossed paths when Carroll was at USC and Harbaugh at Stanford.
"No hostility," Harbaugh said. "You know, we coached against each other in college, and I anticipate that it will be competitive as we go forward playing each other twice a year. But I have genuine respect for the job that he does ? like all the rest of the coaches in the National Football League. ... But we want to beat (Seattle)."
