Even though Jim Harbaugh is a former NFL quarterback, he and offensive coordinator Greg Roman will be committed to building the San Francisco offense around the run.
The 49ers don't currently have a quarterback, but they have good run blockers and Frank Gore at running back.

Mike Singletary intends to use the Bill Belichick/Pete Carroll model for his own career.
Singletary has joined the Vikings a their linebackers coach.

49ers Hire Greg Roman To Be OC
The 49ers have hired Greg Roman to become their offensive coordinator, according to a source.
Roman was with Jim Harbaugh at Stanford and was known to be responsible for the school's offensive success.
Roman was a finalist for Stanford's head coaching position.
Baalke: 49ers QB Of Future Isn't On Roster
49ers general manager Trent Baalke says the team's quarterback of the future is not on their current roster.
Baalke will explore the draft, a trade or free agency to upgrade at the position.
"Is the quarterback of the future on this roster? I think it's obvious that he isn't at this point, but things could change and they will change through one of those three vehicles," Baalke said in a radio interview with Mike Florio of NBC Sports.
Former top pick Alex Smith is a free agent.
49ers, Harbaugh Agree To Deal
Stanford's Jim Harbaugh agreed to become the San Francisco 49ers head coach Friday afternoon.
The deal is worth $25M over five years, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Harbaugh was introduced by recently-hired GM Trent Baalke at a news conference Friday afternoon.
"I can feel the enthusiasm coursing through my veins right now," Harbaugh said. "I accept this competitive challenge willingly."
Broncos Want To Interview Harbaugh Too
You can add the Broncos to the lengthy list of teams interested in Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh.
According to two league sources, Denver is trying to arrange a meeting with Harbaugh, who is being heavily courted by San Francisco.
The Dolphins interviewed Harbaugh, but they announced on Thursday night that Tony Sparano would be retained.
Earlier this week, Harbaugh was known to still be considering a return to Stanford.

McDaniels was fired by the Broncos in the second half of the season.
