Ndamukong Suh “strayed from [defensive coordinator] Kevin Coyle’s script” during the Miami Dolphins' 23-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Asked to explain his lackluster play against the Jaguars, Suh said: “I couldn’t tell you. At the end of the day, we have to go back to the drawing board and figure out what we want to run so guys can make plays and go from there.”
Ndamukong Suh won't face discipline from the NFL after he appeared to kick the helmet off Alfred Morris on Sunday.
NFL spokesman Michael Signora confirmed that the play was reviewed by the senior football operations staff and there will be no action taken against Suh.
Following the game, Suh claimed not to remember the incident.
"I tackled him plenty of times during the game, so I'm not really certain what you are speaking of," he told reporters.
Suh, who signed a six-year, $114 million contract with the Dolphins as a free agent in March, has a reputation as a "dirty" player following a history of being fined for player-safety violations.
Nick Saban said he might still be with the Miami Dolphins if he had been allowed to sign Drew Brees.
Brees was a target for Saban in 2006, but Dolphins' doctors didn't give their seal of approval as he was coming off a shoulder injury.
The Dolphins instead signed Daunte Culpepper and Brees went onto win a Super Bowl with the Saints.
“If we’d had Drew Brees, I might still be in Miami,” Saban said.
