Florida Shoots Down Public Financing Of Sun Life Stadium Rennovation

Jun 26, 2014 3:23 AM

Super Bowl L is unlikely to host the 2016 Super Bowl after the Florida Legislature opted not to vote on a bill that would have approved taxpayer support for a $350 million renovation of Sun Life Stadium.

The decision means the San Francisco Bay Area will become the frontrunner to host Super Bowl L.

The San Francisco 49ers open their new stadium in Santa Clara in 2014.
