Dolphins Sign Grimes To $5.5M Deal

The Miami Dolphins have signed Brent Grimes to a one-year, $5.5 million deal.

Grimes, who made more than $10 million last season with the Atlanta Falcons, played in just one game in 2012 because of an Achilles injury suffered in Week 1.

The undrafted cornerback has registered 13 interceptions over six seasons.

The Miami Herald, citing an unnamed source close to Reggie Bush, reported Sunday that the running back will not return to the Dolphins next season.

Three teams contacted Bush once the NFL's three-day negotiating period opened Saturday at midnight but the Dolphins haven't shown any interest in retaining him, the source told the newspaper.

Hartline's deal includes $12.5 million in guaranteed money.

Hartline was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent next week.

The Dolphins still hope to sign an elite wide receiver to make Hartline their No. 2.
