Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce is active for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars as he returns from an ankle injury.

Pierce, who had been listed as questionable, has appeared in seven games this season for Houston, rushing for 327 yards and a touchdown on 109 carries. He is second on the team in rushing, behind Devin Singletary (471).

C.J. Stroud is enjoying one of the best seasons ever for the rookie quarterback in the NFL.

Through nine games, Stroud has 2,625 passing yards, which puts him on pace for 4,958 yards in a 17-game season.

That would allow him to easily surpass the current rookie record of 4,374 yards, set by Andrew Luck in 2012.

Stroud has also thrown just two interceptions in 318 passes, an interception on just 0.63 percent of his attempts, which would also be a rookie record. 

Jason Myers sent the Seattle Seahawks to a 29-26 win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday at Lumen Field when he hit a 43-yard field goal in the final seconds.

That kick also sent Week 10 of the NFL season into the record books.

The Seahawks' win over Washington was the fifth game of the day that was decided on a made field goal as time expired, joining the Cleveland Browns over the Baltimore Ravens, the Houston Texans over the Cincinnati Bengals, the Arizona Cardinals over the Atlanta Falcons and the Detroit Lions over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins will not play Sunday against the Houston Texans, coach Zac Taylor said Friday.

Higgins suffered a hamstring injury Wednesday and didn't practice the rest of the week. He watched the wide receivers in individual drills during the open portion of Thursday's practice and was not spotted during the viewing window open to the media Friday.

With 46 seconds left in the Houston Texans' matchup versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud received the ball with two timeouts left.

The offense had 75 yards to go, and Stroud had one message for his offensive line.

"If you give me a little bit of time, I will make them pay," Stroud said.

Six plays later, Stroud triumphantly fired a winning, 15-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Tank Dell to take the lead 39-37 with just six seconds left, the latest go-ahead touchdown pass in Texans team history.
