The Eagles have extended the contract of quarterback Kevin Kolb by one year.
The deal is worth $12.25 million, all of it guaranteed, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Kolb was only under contract for the 2010 season after taking over as Philadelphia's starter following the Donovan McNabb trade.
Raiders Sign Rock Cartwright
The Raiders have signed free agent running back Rock Cartwright to a contract.
The signing will give Oakland added depth at halfback, fullback and kick returner.
Cowboys Sign Defensive Back Ball
The Cowboys have signed defensive back Alan Ball, an exclusive rights free agent.
Ball, a seventh-round pick in 2007, will make $545,000 this season and could replace veteran Ken Hamlin as the team's starting free safety.
"When you play Alan Ball, you aren't surprised by anything he does well," coach Wade Phillips said last week. "He has played well for us every time he has played."
Tampa Bay Signs QB Snead
The Buccaneers have signed undrafted rookie quarterback Jevan Snead.
Snead played at Ole Miss, starting in each of the last two seasons.
He threw for 2,762 yards with 26 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 2009.
Tennessee Signs USC RB Johnson
The Titans have signed undrafted USC running back Stafon Johnson.
Johnson suffered a nearly fatal weight-lifting accident last year. His neck was crushed by a weight-lifting bar in September.

"It's a great organization and a great situation for him," Blount's agent, Zeke Sandhu, told the NFL Network's Jason La Canfora.
Blount made national headlines for punching Boise State linebacker Byron Hout after the Ducks' season opener in September.
Broncos Sign LB Ayodele
The Broncos have signed inside linebacker Akin Ayodele, a nine-year NFL veteran.
Ayodele was Miami's third-leading tackler in 2009.

Sheppard, who has played in 104 games with 70 career starts, has 19 career INTs for 460 yards and 3 TDs. He spent his first 7 years in the NFL with Philadelphia, helping the Eagles to 4 NFC East Division titles and Super Bowl XXXIX, before starting 9 games for a New York Jets team that advanced to the AFC Championship Game last year.
