The Lions have signed veteran quarterback Patrick Ramsey.
Ramsey will take the roster spot of rookie Matthew Stafford, who was placed on the injured reserve by Detroit.
He was with the Titans until October when they released him.

Steelers Sign Joey Galloway
The Steelers have added wide receiver Joey Galloway to replace Linas Sweed.
Sweed was placed on injured reserve Monday with a non-football related illness.
Galloway was cut by New England earlier this season.
He has 689 receptions for 10,777 yards and 77 touchdowns in his career.
Dallas Cuts Folk, Signs Suisham
The Cowboys have cut kicker Nick Folk and replaced him with Shaun Suisham.
Suisham previously kicked for Dallas in 2005 and 2006. He was released by Washington on Dec. 8 after missing a key kick.
"I can't thank the Cowboys enough for giving me an opportunity with them," Suisham told ESPN.com's Matt Mosley. "I'm so happy and excited about it and I feel like I have a lot to offer the organization."
Folk leads the NFL with 10 misses, going 18-of-28 and missing seven of his past 11.
Ex-Bills, UFL QB Losman Signs With Raiders
Former Bills quarterback J.P. Losman used the United Football League to showcase his talents and try to get back into the NFL. His mission was rewarded Tuesday when he agreed to a deal with the Raiders, as reported by ESPN.com.
Packers Give Chillar Four-Year Extension
Green Bay has signed linebacker Brandon Chillar to a four-year, $21 million contract extension.
Chillar was set to become a free agent after the season and will make $7 million in guaranteed money.
He has started four games this season and has played through a hand injury.
Ninkovich Gets Extension In New England
The Patriots have signed special teams performer Rob Ninkovich to a contract extension.
The new deal is through 2011 and includes a $350,000 signing bonus.
Ninkovich, who earns a base salary of $535,000 this season, is scheduled to earn $650,000 in 2010 and $650,000 in 2011.
Bills Sign Tight End Klopfenstein
The Bills signed tight end Joe Klopfenstein to their 53-man roster on Monday.
In a related move, Buffalo released defensive tackle Corey Mace.
Bears Sign June To One-Year Deal
The Bears have signed linebacker Cato June to a one-year deal.
The contract, which was first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter, was announced on Tuesday.
