Giants rookie safety Chad Jones is being transferred to New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center on Tuesday to undergo more surgery.
Jones underwent eight hours of surgery to repair fractures in his left leg and ankle and to improve blood flow to his left foot at LSU Public Hospital in New Orleans on Friday.
New Orleans Police Department officer Shereese Harper confirmed that alcohol does not appear to be a factor in Jones' car wreck last Friday.

Chad Jones Recovering; Injury 'Could Have Been A Lot Worse'
Giants rookie safety Chad Jones is recovering from multiple injures to his left leg suffered in a car accident on Friday.
"The doctors were worried that he might lose his left foot," agent Rocky Arceneaux said Saturday. "He may have to have more surgery at some point, but I would like to think that since the doctors told his father (Al Jones) that the surgery was successful that they will not have to consider doing that again. But I don't think they've clarified if that's still a possibility or not."
Jones still faces a long recovery if he's going to ever play football again.
Reed Says He's Only 35 Percent Recovered From Hip Surgery
Ravens safety Ed Reed says he's only 35 percent recovered from hip surgery.
That means he may not be ready for the start of the regular season.
"It's a long, slow process," Reed said. "I want to come back. I want to be ready for the first game but I don't know how soon that would happen, how soon I would be back. You know, we're gonna continue to do the things to try and get back and at least play this year for the fans, man, cause they've been hounding me, man.
"They've been asking me, 'Are you gonna play? Are you coming back? I would love to see you play at least one more year.' So, hopefully, we got at least one more in us."

Giants' Rookie Injured In New Orleans Crash
Giants rookie Chad Jones, a two-sport athlete at LSU, underwent surgery Friday for a broken left leg and ankle following a single-car, early morning wreck in which his SUV smashed into a pole.
He was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.
"We're strong and we're praying," father Al Jones said. "This is the call you never want to get as a parent. I'm used to making those phone calls and now we've received one. It's heartbreaking."
Jones, a safety, was drafted in the third round.
Smith Says Broken Arm Was 'Freak Accident'
Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith says the broken arm he suffered while playing flag football was a freak accident.
"Obviously, I put my team and myself in a bad situation by playing," Smith said. "But that wasn't my intention and wasn't what I thought the outcome was going to be."
Playing football out of the team setting and participating in risky activities are usually banned in most NFL contracts.
The Panthers aren't expected to take serious action against Smith.
"I wish I could take it back," Smith said. "But I am a regular guy outside of football. I mow my grass, too. I can get my finger chopped off fixing my lawnmower. I could roll my ankle playing tag or slip-n-slide with my kids. In hindsight, yeah, I won't do it again. But I was just having fun, playing with some guys."
Carroll Says Leon Washington Will Be Ready
Leon Washington is still working his way back from a broken leg, but Seahawks coach Pete Carroll says the running back will be ready for the 2010 season.

"Yeah, we really do" expect that, Carroll said Tuesday. "We think he's in great shape for this time. He's ahead of schedule right now."
The Seahawks acquired Washington from the Jets on April 24.
Welker Isn't A Lock For Week 1
Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker has participated in individual drills lately, but Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com writes that it's still optimistic to think he'll be ready for Week 1 of the regular season.
"If I had to make an educated guess, Welker will open training camp on the physically unable to perform list, and will remain there through at least the first six weeks of the regular season," Reiss writes.
Welker is recovering from a major knee injury.
Giants Lose Hixon For Season With Turf Injury
Giants wide receiver Domenik Hixon will miss the entire 2010 season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
The team initially believed Hixon hyperextended the knee when his foot caught in the new FieldTurf during New York's first practice in the New Meadowlands Stadium on Tuesday.
Giants coach Tom Coughlin tried to deflect criticism of the new field.
"Listen, you got to go over there and go on it before you can make some judgments about it," Coughlin said.
"We will be better served now because of the shoes that we recommend. I said he got his foot stuck in there. You can see on tape he is turning a little bit and he does have a little hyperextended kind of thing. We are aware of it [the softness of the turf] and we are continuing to work with it and are asking the turf people to take another look at the field and some of the thoughts we had about shoes and stuff."
Doctor Says Favre's Surgery Went Well
Dr. James Andrews says Brett Favre is progressing well in his rehabilitation from recent ankle surgery.
"It went fine," Andrews said of the surgery Favre had a few weeks ago. "He's rehabbing and trying to decide what he's going to do. I talked to him yesterday."
Favre, 41, has a contract with Minnesota that will pay him $13 million if he plays in the 2010 season.
"We've got a few more weeks of rehabbing," Andrews said. "I think he hasn't decided yet what he wants to do."
