Roethlisberger Wearing Walking Boot
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is walking around in a walking boot, but he's still expected to face the Ravens on Sunday night.
Roethlisberger sprained his right foot in Pittsburgh's overtime win over Buffalo on Sunday.
Baltimore and Pittsburgh both have 8-3 records, and the winner will own the division lead with four games remaining.
Giants Remain Short-Handed At WR
The Giants defeated the Jaguars on Sunday without their top two wide receivers.
It appears as though they'll have to go at least one more game with Hakeem Nicks and Steve Smith, according to Ralph Vacchciano of The New York Daily News.
"Hakeem Nicks is still expected to be out two more weeks. Steve Smith says he's targeting a Dec. 12 return," Vacchciano wrote on his Twitter page.
49ers Crush Cardinals, Lose Gore For Season
Brian Westbrook rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown in place of the injured Frank Gore and the San Francisco 49ers sent punchless Arizona to its sixth straight loss, 27-6 Monday night, as reported by ESPN.com
Gore left in the first half with what was later diagnosed as a fractured right hip.
Romo Throws During Practice
Injured Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo took a small step toward his return from a broken collarbone, throwing at the beginning of Monday's practice.
While his teammates wore helmets and shells under their jerseys, Romo sported a T-shirt and backwards cap and threw during the "pat-and-go" session.
This was the first time Romo participated in the warmup portion of practice since he suffered a broken collarbone in an Oct. 25 loss to the Giants.
Roethlisberger Suffered Foot Injury In OT
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger sprained his right foot in the team's overtime win over the Bills on Sunday afternoon.
"My foot was in the ground and someone was driving me backwards, and my foot couldn't get out of the ground, so my knee just got bent sideways," Roethlisberger said.
The Steelers (8-3) face the Ravens (8-3) in Baltimore next Sunday night with first place in the AFC North on the line.
Samuel Hopes To Face Texans
The Eagles certainly missed cornerback Asante Samuel on Sunday against the Bears.
Samuel is hoping to face the Texans on Thursday night after sitting out with a knee injury.
He suffered a sprained left medial collateral ligament last Sunday night against the Giants while making his second interception of the game.
Chicago beat Philadelphia 31-26 on Sunday afternoon as Jay Cutler threw four touchdown passes.
"You could kind of tell we missed him," said safety Quintin Mikell. "Asante brings a lot to the table."
Peterson Injures Ankle In Victory
Vikings running back Adrian Peterson injured his right ankle in the first half of the team's win over the Redskins.
Peterson, who rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown on six carries, did not return.
He was replaced by Toby Gerhart.
Peterson said his ankle "got rolled up" when he was tackled on a 1-yard carry late in the second quarter.
Favre Will Start Despite Illness
Vikings quarterback Brett Favre will start on Sunday despite an illness that could be pneumonia.
Favre took a steroid pack, had an injection Saturday and missed the first hour of meetings because he couldn't get out of bed.
