New York wide receiver Plaxico Burress hyper-extended his knee in the Giants first practice session on Saturday.
At this time there are no details to report in regards to the extent of the injury.
The Giants acquired Burress as an unrestricted free agent from Pittsburgh in March. He signed a six-year, $25 million contract that included an $8 million signing bonus.

Giants Agree To Deal With Fourth-Round Pick
The New York Giants agreed to a four-year deal with fullback Brandon Jacobs on Monday.
Terms were not immediately available, but his agent Justin Schulman said the deal has plenty of incentives so that "if he performs, he'll make good money.
"The Giants treated him very well," Schulman said. "They realize he could be an important part of their future."
