The New York Giants have claimed rookie tight end Victor Sesay off of waivers after the rookie was released by the Miami Dolphins on June 24. Sesay was not selected in the 2005 NFL Draft but was signed by Miami on April 29. He was released on June 24 and claimed by the Giants.

Giants receiver Plaxico Burress has missed two court appearances in the last three weeks, one for failing to pay his taxes and the latest for reckless driving caused by an improper pass. He has shown for neither hearing. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said "I don't have any information on" why Burress did not appear. His tax charges was eventually dropped after his attorney proved he did not owe any taxes.
