Jul 29, 2015 12:18 AM

Eric Berry has been cleared to return to practice with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Last December, Berry, 26, was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma, which accounts for about 10 percent of lymphoma cases and is considered to be highly curable.

Lymphoma is a group of cancers of a part of the immune system called the lymph system. The cancers fall into two main types, Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Berry informed his teammates of his condition, and was placed on the non-football illness list, which ended his season.
