If the Houston Texans don't work out a contract extension with Jadeveon Clowney before Week 1, then it will have to wait until after the season.

Brian Gaine told the NFL Network on Wednesday that he has a policy against negotiating contracts during the season.

Clowney is set to enter the final season of a rookie deal that will pay him more than $12 million.

Deshaun Watson expects to be a full-go when the Houston Texans open camp.

"I feel great. I'm getting ready for next week when we report to Greenbrier and I'm gonna be a full-go," Watson said.

Watson tore his ACL on Nov. 2 in practice.
