At his annual charity golf tournament over the weekend, Detroit back-up Jeff Garcia addressed the Lions? quarterback situation.
"It's Joey Harrington's job to lose," Garcia told the Gilroy Dispatch. "But I'm going to be right there nipping on his heels."
That does not mean he is not eager to be in the starting role again, when asked if he gets the chance at the starting job he was quick to respond.

Lions Sign CB McQuarters To One-Year Pact
The Detroit Lions have signed former Chicago Bears defensive back R.W. McQuarters to a one-year contract.
The Bears released McQuarters on May 23. The Lions announced the signing June 22 but withheld other terms of the deal, reached earlier this month.
In five seasons in Chicago, McQuarters had 295 tackles and nine interceptions. He switched from cornerback to safety last season and returned punts.
The Bears acquired McQuarters in a 2000 trade with the San Francisco 49ers, who took him in the first round of the 1998 draft. He played his first two seasons under now-Lions coach Steve Mariucci.
Time Is Running Out For Drummond In Detroit
Detroit Lions special teams standout Eddie Drummond is still holding off on signing his qualifying offer in hopes of securing a lucrative multi-year deal.
"We're still very hopeful of a long-term [contract]," said Drummond?s agent Drew Rosenhaus on Saturday, as he watched a Miami Dolphins mini-camp workout that included several of his clients. "That's the goal. Time will tell if we can do it. But, as you know, time is running short."
Drummond has until Wednesday to sign the on-year restricting free agent qualifying offer worth $1.43 million.
Lions Sign McQuarters
The Detroit Lions added cornerback R.W. McQuarters, choosing him over New England Pro Bowl cornerback Ty Law.
"I love Ty Law and I want to think I would still consider him but right now -- with where we're at -- I wanted to make sure I'm getting something," Millen said late Friday.
McQuarters has agreed to terms on a one-year deal believed to be worth around $1.6 million.
Lions? Drummond Faces Deadline
The Detroit Lions and Pro Bowl return-man Eddie Drummond face a NFL sponsored deadline to come to terms with the free agent's contract.
The Lions have offered Drummond a one-year contract worth $1.4 million to which he has until Wednesday to sign.
We didn't want to be put in this spot to make a decision," Lions? executive vice-president Tom Lewand said. "We want Eddie to come in and sign the tender. Then we'll continue to negotiate."
Lions? Edwards Charged With Resisting Arrest
The Detroit Lions defensive end Kalimba Edwards was arraigned Tuesday on charges of resisting arrest and failing to produce a driver's license during a weekend traffic stop.
Backup was called and Edwards was subdued with pepper spray.
