Larry Fitzgerald's $14.6 million salary will restrict the Cardinals' movement in free agency if they can't come to terms on restructuring his contract.
Sources tell the Arizona Republic that the two sides are not close on reaching an agreement.

Cardinals: Fitzgerald Not Going Anywhere
At the NFL scouting combine on Saturday, Arizona Cardinals' Vice President of Football Operations Rod Graves made it clear that Larry Fitzgerald isn't going anywhere, according to NFL.com.
"No question, no question," Graves told NFL.com, when asked if Fitzgerald would be back. "He's a core player, and like so many other players we're excited about with respect to our football team; we are going to do what we have to do to keep that core player."
Arizona Places Franchise Tag On Dansby
The Cardinals have placed the ?non-exclusive? franchise tag on Karlos Dansby, the team said Thursday.
The move means Dansby has been offered a one-year deal worth just over $8M, the average salary of the five highest-paid linebackers in the NFL last season.
The Cardinals can continue to negotiate a long-term deal through July 15. If Dansby signs an offer sheet from another team, Arizona can match it or receive two first-round draft picks as compensation.
GM Rod Graves called applying the franchise tag ?a formality," according to an Associated Press Report.
