Joe Burrow Returns To Practice For First Time Since July 27th

Aug 30, 2023 5:45 PM

Joe Burrow has returned to practice for the first time since injuring his right calf on  July 27th.

During the session that was open to the media, Burrow participated in all the throwing drills with assistant Dan Pitcher and the team's backups.

This is not the first time Burrow has had to deal with an issue leading up to Week 1. In 2021, he was coming off a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee that ended his rookie season. Last year, Burrow suffered a ruptured appendix just before training camp started.

Jonathan Taylor has left Indianapolis Colts' training camp to continue rehabbing his ankle injury off-site.

Taylor has been in a standoff with the Colts after not receiving a contract extension.

Shane Steichen said Taylor was absent as "part of his rehab process. If you don't see him out here, it's part of his rehab."

Taylor has asked for a trade, which owner Jim Irsay vehemently rejected.

Taylor led the NFL in rushing in 2021 with 1,811 rushing yards 18 touchdowns.

Alvin Kamara Suspended For First Three Games Of 2023

Aug 4, 2023 4:50 PM

Alvin Kamara and Chris Lammons have each been suspended for the first three games of the 2023 season for their role in a 2022 fight in Las Vegas.

Kamara will miss the Saints' home opener against the Tennessee Titans in Week 1 and away games against the Carolina Panthers and Green Bay Packers.

"Poor judgment on my end, definitely a bad decision, but I'm a man," Kamara said after practice Friday before the suspension was announced. "Anything I've ever done in my life, I've stood on and I can take accountability for. I can say when I'm wrong, and I was completely wrong. I embarrassed the Saints, I embarrassed my family and my mother, I embarrassed myself, I embarrassed this city and the shield, obviously I embarrassed the NFL."
