The Jacksonville Jaguars have cut Tim Tebow.

Jacksonville signed Tebow this offseason as he had previously played for Urban Meyer at Florida. 

Tebow last played in an NFL regular season game in 2012 with the New York Jets.

The Seattle Seahawks are releasing Aldon Smith.

Smith was arrested in April on a second-degree battery charge, two days after he signed with the Seahawks, after he was accused of choking a man unconscious during an altercation that began inside a New Orleans-area coffee shop.

Smith, who has had numerous alcohol-related incidents during his NFL career, has been staying in a sober living home in Seattle, as he did last season in Dallas.
