Nick Bosa Out Until At Least November With Core Muscle Surgery

Sep 24, 2018 2:56 PM

Nick Bosa will be out until at least November following surgery for a core muscle injury.

“Coach Meyer is going to get peppered with these questions and he basically said it’s a few weeks, but it’s worth me at least clarifying that it’s not a few weeks,” Nick Bosa's father John Bosa said. “Nick had major surgery. Now, he had surgery with the best surgeon for the core on the planet (Dr. William C. Meyers in Philadelphia) and it’s 100 percent fixable, which is the beauty of it, but he’s not even getting reevaluated until November.”

Nick Bosa has been in conversation to the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

NCAA Attorney Argues College Coaches Work More Than Professional Ones

Sep 4, 2018 4:54 PM

An antitrust trial over the NCAA's rules on how much student athletes get paid began on Tuesday.

An attorney for the NCAA examining Dr. Daniel Rascher, a professor and Director of Academic Programs for the Sport Management Program at the University of San Francisco, focused on who should be paid more between college basketball and football coaches as opposed to professional coaches.

Rascher said college coaches get paid similar salaries to professional coaches even though professional sports generate five to 10 times more revenue than college sports.

The NCAA's attorney contended college coaches have more work to do since since they have to recruit from high schools.

Rascher contends that athletes are already being paid but it is being capped.
