On Wednesday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed veteran wide receiver David Boston. Terms were not disclosed. Boston spent his first four years with the Arizona Cardinals and the past two in Miami, with a stop in San Diego in between.

Jeb Bush Approached To Be Next NFL Commissioner

Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has no plans to run for president in 2008, but he was privately approached about his interest in becoming the NFL?s next commissioner. Bush said Tuesday the issue was discussed at a recent meeting with Patrick Rooney Sr., according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. ?I met with Mr. Rooney and I said, ?I?m doing my job until I?m finished and then I?m going to consider other things,?? Bush told the newspaper.

Bucs Owner Remains In Hospital

Buccaneers and Manchester United owner Malcolm Glazer remained hospitalized May 19, nearly three weeks after suffering a second stroke. The 77-year-old Glazer was readmitted to Cleveland Clinic on April 30. He suffered an initial stroke on April 16 and was released from the Florida hospital eight days later. "Doctors expect my father to return home in the next few weeks," Bucs executive vice president Joel Glazer said in a statement released by the team. "As a result of this stroke his rehabilitation period will be longer and more challenging."

Bucs Owner Glazer Suffers Second Stroke

Tampa Bay Buccaneers owner Malcolm Glazer has been hospitalized at the Cleveland Clinic after suffering a second stroke in two weeks, the team announced Friday night. The most recent stroke occurred April 30, the team revealed in a statement, apparently while Glazer was convalescing at his Palm Beach home after the first incident. "Doctors expect my father to return home in the next few weeks," said son Joel Glazer. "As a result of this [second] stroke, his rehabilitation period will be longer and more challenging. Our family appreciates all the support and warm wishes that we have received."
