Pats To Bring McFadden In For Talk
The Patriots are planning to bring running back Darren McFadden in for a talk before the 2008 NFL Draft, according to the Boston Globe.
New England has the seventh overall selection in the draft, with RealGM's NFL insider Jeff Risdon listing McFadden as the fourth selection in the Draft.
Patriots: Brady's Ankle Is Fine
Hobbled by an ankle sprain towards the end of New England's playoff run, Tom Brady checked out fine recently, according to the Boston Herald.
A league source leaked the information to the Herald, and Brady isn't expected to be limited at all during the team's offseason workout programs or minicamps.
Ankle Surgery Slows New England's Watson
Patriots' tight end Benjamin Watson underwent left ankle surgery a few weeks ago, according to a report in the Boston Herald.
The procedure revealed both cartilage damage and scar tissue. Both Watson and the Patriots refused to comment on the surgery.
"I can?t talk about it," Watson said. "You?ll have to ask Coach (Bill) Belichick."

The New England Patriots are not interested in cornerback Pacman Jones, according to sources close to the Boston Globe.
Pacman's agent said last week that the former Titan was interested in joining the Patriots, and some took that as mutual interest. League sources indicate that this is not true.
Cowboys And Titans Talk Pacman Trade
According to a source, the Cowboys and Titans are having trade talks surrounding Pacman Jones.
Manubir Arora, Jones' agent, says the Patriots and Lions are also interested in his client.
Asked Jones' preference of a future team, Arora said, "Every kid grows up wanting to play for the Dallas Cowboys."
"We want to go to an established team with good infrastructure and leadership," Arora told Werder. "Both the Cowboys and Patriots have veteran coaches who have been through these kinds of things before, good player liaisons and mentoring, and if you have those things and a winning program, then I think all these problems go away.
"All of Adam's issues have been offseason issues, not team issues."
Report: Pats Sign CB Fernando Bryant
The Patriots apparently have filled their need at cornerback.
ESPN.com reported Thursday that New England signed cornerback Fernando Bryant, who spent the last four seasons with the Lions, to a one-year deal.
The Patriots, who lost three defensive backs to free agency, have not confirmed the move.
Bucs Land DB Eugene Wilson
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers landed defensive back Eugene Wilson on Friday, according to the Tampa Tribune.
"Coming from a winning tradition with the Patriots, Eugene felt he wouldn't be losing a step toward his ultimate goal, which is to win a Super Bowl, by signing with the Bucs," Wilson's agent James Sims said.
"Tampa Bay is a first-class organization, and they came at us first. We probably should have just stopped the whole process right there and signed with them, but we had to listen and see what was out there."
Troy Brown And Pats Parting Ways?
Troy Brown may not return to the New England Patriots for a sixteenth season, according to the Boston Herald.
The team is prepared to part ways with the receiver and they do not plan to offer him a contract for the 2008 season.
A source close to the team indicted that management informed Brown of the decision so he can seek employment elsewhere, if he wishes to continue his NFL career.
Domestic Violence Case Against Moss Dropped
The woman who had a restraining order placed against Randy Moss in a domestic violence case had the order removed on Tuesday, according to the Boston Globe.
"My client, acting solely on the advice of her former attorney, filed for the temporary restraining order against Mr. Moss. She has decided that such restraining order is unnecessary and has requested the order be dismissed," Rachelle Washington's lawyer said.
"Because the injuries sustained were not the result of any malicious intent by Mr. Moss, a claim for her damages will be submitted to his insurance company."
Pats Add S Tank Williams
The New England Patriots agreed to terms with former Vikings safety Tank Williams on Wednesday, according to the Boston Herald.
Williams agreed to a one-year deal with New England, the second addition to their secondary the Pats made in the last few days. They signed Jason Webster to a contract on Tuesday.
Williams, 27, can play both safety positions.
