Nov 7, 2014 7:11 PM

Cincinnati running back Chris Perry was carted off the field with an injured right ankle in the second quarter of the team's game against the Cleveland Browns. As he was being tackled on a 10-yard run, Perry got his legs rolled on by Browns linebacker Andra Davis. Perry, a third-year backup from Michigan, stayed on the field for several minutes before being taken to the locker room for X-rays. The Bengals said his return was questionable. Perry has rushed for 57 yards on 10 carries this season.

Pollack Bracing For Possibility Of Retirement

Jul 15, 2014 6:25 PM

Bengals linebacker David Pollack is facing a doctor's appointment Dec. 13, at which point he will decide if he will play football again. Pollack, who suffered a fracture of the C-6 vertebra in his neck Sept. 17 against Cleveland and was placed on injured reserve the next day. "If I'm not more likely to get hurt again, then I'll play," said Pollack, who still wears a protective halo to get his neck in place. "If I am, then I won't. Cut and dried. It's a very real possibility that I won't play again. At the end of it, if the doctor says I'm 5 percent more likely to get injured again, there's a 0 percent chance I'll ever play again. That's a fact."

Chad: "I Might As Well Be A Hood Ornament"

Jul 29, 2014 4:33 AM

Chad Johnson is growing increasingly frustrated by the week. On Sunday he had just four catches for 32 yards. "Anybody have the stats for today?" Johnson asked at one time. "Four - that sucks. You have your best player, and you can't even get him the (expletive) ball. I just go out there and get the job done. But now, all of a sudden, there is a problem this year. How many catches did I get? Four. That (expletive) sucks, too." "All I can do as an individual is go out and make plays and give (my) best effort," Johnson said. "Also, to be given the opportunity to make plays. Four for 32 - that's (expletive) ridiculous. You've got to be (expletive) kidding me. "When Christmas comes around, I might as well be a hood ornament. Because all I've been so far is a decoration - a decoration sitting out there all pretty, ready for people to jump on." Johnson wants the ball but doesn't want to come across as selfish. He said the more he gets the ball, the better the chances are that the Bengals will win. "What is No. 85 now, some kind of secret?" he said. "They know what the hell I can do." "Maybe I should retire like Tiki (Barber)," Johnson jokingly said of the New York Giants running back.
