Marshall: Cutler And I Are Like Brothers

Oct 22, 2014 4:47 PM

Brandon Marshall stood by his expression of emotion following the Chicago Bears' 27-14 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

On Showtime’s “Inside the NFL”, Marshall reinforced his frustration at the Bears' 3-4 record.

“The only thing I regret is that the door wasn’t closed,” Marshall said on the program, according to a network press release. "I wouldn’t change any of my reactions because they came from my heart, and that’s how I felt, and that’s how I still feel. I think we have all the coaches we need. I think we have all the players that we need to get the job done. And 3-4 is unacceptable, but we have everything that we need to turn this ship right now."

Marshall also dismissed the notion that there is a rift between Jay Cutler and him.

“I have a really nice condo. And guess what? Jay Cutler built that condo,” Marshall said. “We’re great. We’re great. You know, we’re like brothers. I think coach (Marc) Trestman said it the best. But if I have a problem with Jay Cutler I’m going to go to Jay Cutler. If Jay Cutler has a problem with me, he’s going to come to me. We have that type of relationship.”

Marshall Calls Out Cutler In Locker Room After Loss To Dolphins

Oct 21, 2014 1:50 AM

Brandon Marshall called out Jay Cutler after the Chicago Bears' 27-14 loss to the Miami Dolphins, according to a source.

The source said there "are some very selfish individuals in the locker room."

Marshall, meanwhile, didn't deny there was friction in the aftermath of the game.

"We lost, there should be a lot of frustration," Marshall said. "You should hear frustration. We're 3-4. Yeah, this means everything to a lot of guys in this locker room. This means a lot."

Brandon Marshall Feeling 'More Explosive'

Oct 5, 2014 9:35 PM

Brandon Marshall is beginning to feel better as he works his way back from an ankle injury.

Marshall is listed as "probable" for Week 5 against the Carolina Panthers.

Marshall has been held under 50 yards in the Chicago Bears' past three games, but he does have four touchdowns in those games.

"It feels good to go out there and be back with the guys," Marshall said, per the team's official website. "After a while you kind of get out of shape a little bit and I feel like I got my wind back and feel more explosive, so it's good. I can get in and out of my breaks, so it'll be hard for guys to sit on me."
