The Kansas City Chiefs will open the 2024 season against the Baltimore Ravens, the NFL has announced.

The matchup, to be played Thursday, Sept. 5 at Arrowhead Stadium, is a rematch of last season's AFC Championship Game.

The Chiefs are playing in the Thursday night opener at Arrowhead Stadium for the third time in five seasons. 

Lamar Jackson has been hard at work this offseason.

Jackson revealed on an "I Got Time Today" segment from Complex Sports on Instagram that he's down to 205 pounds.

The Baltimore Ravens quarterback read a series of social media posts about him, including one from that said, "Lamar Jackson is definitely 2019 MVP slim now. ... It may get spooky."

Jackson answered, "Most definitely. I was 230 two years ago. I was 215 last season, but now I'm like 205."

The Baltimore Ravens received multiple offers for their first-round pick before using it on cornerback Nate Wiggins.

According to a report, the Ravens had eight offers for the No. 30 pick.

Baltimore general manager Eric DeCosta said the team identified Wiggins as a target early in the draft process.

"For us, it was always, 'If Nate [is] there, we [are] going to pick,'" DeCosta said. "In our opinion, [he's] a guy that can be a true shutdown-type corner."
