Cardinals wide receiver Ed Gant has been suspended for four games by the NFL for violating the policy on performance-enhancing substances. The NFL didn't release information on the substance involved. Gant spent last season on the Cardinals' practice squad, but he is expected to compete for the fourth and fifth receiving positions.

Cardinals guard Deuce Lutui plans to sign his qualifying offer in the "coming days," according to his new agent. A restricted free agent, Lutui has stayed away from all off-season activities instead of signing the offer of $1.76 million.

He is throwing the ball with confidence. And I think he knows what is in front of him. ?It?s obvious to me he?s more comfortable with the whole process, not just throwing a pass or knowing where guys line up. He understands the concepts of the plays and he has the ability to get us in and out of certain plays, all those things you see more assuredness from him. I am excited with what he has done in the OTAs so far.?
