Williams wasn't upset about his low number of carries, but thought he could have done better. ?The way the game was going, a running back doesn't get touches unless the offence gets some kind of rhythm and they didn't allow us to get any kind of rhythm,? Williams said. ?And also, when I do get touches, I've got to do a better job making more out of them.?

In the 2005 supplemental draft, the Dolphins used a fifth-round selection on Manuel Wright, a talented but habitually underachieving defensive tackle from Southern California. But say this for Nick Saban: Just because the Dolphins' coach was once bitten in the supplemental draft doesn't mean he will be twice shy about using it again to add a young defender. Ricky Williams needed a little time to get going in his CFL debut on Saturday. After gaining 8 yards in the first half, the former Dolphins running back finished with 97 yards on 18 carries in the Toronto Argonauts' 27-17 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the regular-season opener for both teams.

Daunte Culpepper is said to have had an impressive mini-camp for the Dolphins recently and it may signal a quicker return than previously indicated. Culpeppers is looked to have trimmed down as well, being weighed at 265 as opposed to the 280 pounds he was rumored to have weighed when playing with the Vikings.

Marcus Vick made his mark at receiver in the morning session on Saturday as he caught five passes from three quarterbacks. Vick played quarterback at Virginia Tech, but due to his lack of height, combined with brilliant athletic ability, Miami decided to give him a try as a returner and a receiver.

Nick Saban told ESPN.com that he is interested in adding veteran defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson. "Sure, we're interested and we had a good visit with him [on Thursday]," Saban said. "But from what we understand, there are other people interested in him, too. So we'll see what happens."

Daunte Culpepper had his first public workout on Friday afternoon and his teammates were surprised with the results. "Pleasantly surprised and inspired," defensive lineman Kevin Carter. "I'm glad he's feeling a lot better, especially with the severity of the injury that he had. I mean, it's only June and he's running around pretty good. So it's a pretty good indication that hell be ready to go full-speed come season time."
