On Sept. 10, the Steelers will host the rival Titans in the first game of the 2009 NFL season. It's been over seven months since Pittsburgh lifted the Lombardi trophy, and meaningful games cannot come soon enough. As a public service, to help NFL fans bridge the gap from training camp to Week One, we are dusting off our infamous 'Be A GM' series. If you don't remember, or are unaware of RealGM's Be A GM series don't fret. It's a simple concept. We picked one player from each of the league's 32 teams to represent his club as their franchise cornerstone. In some cases we are talking about a rookie, like Aaron Curry in Seattle. In others we are talking about a heady veteran, like Tom Brady. We debuted the NFL version of the contest three years ago, when Peyton Manning edged Reggie Bush in the finals. As you can see, a lot has changed since then. Bush isn't even representing New Orleans this time around. I'd like to thank Christopher Reina and Jeff Risdon for helping make the list of 32 players as close to perfect as possible. Without them, it'll be a list full of quarterbacks and overrated stars.
