Top Ten Quarterbacks 1. Donovan McNabb: 354yds, 2/0 I don?t brag but he?s mine in one of my two leagues. He is just torching people. He still holds the ball too long, three sacks, but when he gets it off it?s just magic right now. 2. Damon Huard: 288yds, 2/0 I mean what? Damon Huard again? Has the Earth?s axis tilted? I mean Arizona isn?t good but they had a week to study him. You got me. 3. Alex Smith: 165yds, 3/1 Okay, he didn?t have any yards but for those eight people out there that started him the three scores aren?t too shabby. I have to credit Mike Nolan because he is really setting up Smith for success with high percentage passes to playmakers. 4. Bruce Gradkowski: 225yds, 2/0 Bruce Gradkowski had a better weekend than Peyton Manning. Anyone who could have predicted that please contact me so we can start playing the market. Crazy talk. 5. Marc Bulger: 220yds, 2/0 On the road a no pick, highly accurate, low sack performance is really all you could ask for. Bulger isn?t in the upper echelon yet but he?s certainly knocking on the door. 6. Eli Manning: 256yds, 1/0 It was a very mediocre weekend for signal callers (one 300yd, one 3 td game) so Manning?s efficient performance gets rated too high. 7. Rex Grossman: 182yds, 2/0 Same goes for Rex Grossman. If only I could rate the Bear?s D every week, they look like they might start eating opponents instead of just shutting them down. 8. Byron Leftwich: 140yds, 2/0 It?s a shame this game was over in the first quarter or he might have put up some huge numbers. 9. Jake Delhomme: 170yds, 1/0 I saw a graphic during this game that the Panthers needed to make sure Jake felt at ?Homme.? This made me feel dirty and a little less intelligent too. 10. Matt Leinart: 253yds, 2/1 He already is better than half the guys in the league and he?s about a million percent upgrade over walking dead Warner. Top Ten Running Backs 1. Deuce McAllister: 123yds, 1td He was again loose. You know the Saints were beaming from Bush returning a punt for a touchdown while McAllister was averaging 8.2yds a carry. Great talent has a way of making superiors look very wise. 2. Frank Gore: 134yds, 0td Pretty much no running back scored a touchdown this weekend so it came down to yards for rankings and Gore ran all over the Raiders. 3. Travis Henry: 123yds, 0td I bet not even Henry?s mom started him in her league as he?d racked up a season total of 82yds prior to this. If she did start him I congratulate her for loyalty. 4. Fred Taylor: 111yds, 1td The Jags ran and ran on the Jets and then they ran some more. After that they ran. Fragile Fred held up for one more week. 5. Tiki Barber: 123yds, 0td Had a ton of carries and didn?t fumble. Didn?t do much on the receiving front for the second week in a row. 6. Chester Taylor: 123yds, 0 td If he would just get in the end zone he?d be a top ten back on the season. 7. Noah Herron: 106yds, 1 td Who? He had five yards coming in. I?m in a league where about 60 running backs are on rosters and he?s not. He?ll be a waiver wire add everywhere ont the planet. 8. Carnell Williams: 111yds, 0td He?s alive! After three weeks of destroying fantasy lives here?s hoping he?s kicked the habit. 9. Thomas Jones: 109yds, 0td He really should be getting more carries given the leads the Bears are sporting. Also hurting him is that damn Rex kid being effective. 10. DeShaun Foster: 106yds, 0td He?s peeled off three good games in a row and should be one of the more consistent backs going forward. Top Ten Wide Receivers 1. Larry Johnson: 6 catches, 106yds, 1td He couldn?t make the list as a running back but here he is as the best receiving option you could have made. And he?s not the last RB on the list either. 2. Joey Galloway: 4 catches, 110yds, 1td Like Harrington he refuses to go by Joe and lost while putting up good numbers. I think Joey is liking the Gradkowski era. 3. Lee Evans: 9 catches, 94yds, 1td He?s the only guy Losman throws to. He scored on the Bears (garbage time, but still). He?s simply what?s for dinner. 4. Hank Baskett: 3 catches, 112yd, 1d Remember Hank Baskett? The guy with four catches going in? From New Mexico? Nothing, eh? Okay, no one had heard of him and this performance was due to one 87 yard play which won?t likely be repeated. Maybe forget him all over again. 5. Greg Jennings: 5 catches, 105yds, 1td He?s done it four weeks in a row. He?s available in over half of the league out there. What are you waiting for? 6. Bernard Berrian: 4 catches, 97yds, 1td Please see above except he?s only available in 40 percent of the leagues. 7. Az-Zahir Hakim: 8 catches, 92yds, 0td Receivers are always hit and miss but there is never any rhyme or reason to this going showing up or not. 8. Wes Welker: 9 catches, 77yds, 0td You know Wes caught a few and said ?Hey, what?s this thing? Is this a football? All I saw last weekend was Daunte being hit by four guys.? 9. Reggie Bush: 11 catches, 63 yds, 0td Reginald! Welcome buddy. He had that punt return TD and was everywhere on Sunday. The Texans are so lucky they don?t have to worry about getting this guy touches, what a hassle. 10. Ronald Curry: 4 catches, 94yds, 0td He should get double points for catching anything thrown by a Raider QB. So it was kind of a low firework offensive weekend for the NFL.
