Chicago (4-0): Without a doubt, the best team in the NFC. Will Rex Grossman manage to maintain this level of performance? 3.(7.) Baltimore (4-0): When you grab Steve McNair in the off-season, you get a QB that is ice and can make clutch plays, like the TD pass to Todd Heap against San Diego. 4.(8.) New England (3-1): Tom Brady's body language looked pretty good on Sunday, though not as good as Laurence Maroney, the rookie out of Minnesota. 5.(3.) Cincinnati (3-1): Came in on a Steeler high and had it handed to them by a Patriots team that was already being counted out by some. 6.(1.) Seattle (3-1): No, Shaun Alexander isn't worth 31 points, but perhaps if he was playing they would have scored on one of those two early drives, changing the feel of the game considerably. 7.(10.) Philadelphia (3-1): Donovan McNabb has clearly been the best QB in the game this season. His weapons are hurt, so with a lunch pail group of guys, he fronts the most potent offense in the NFL. 8.(6.) San Diego (2-1): The Chargers finally played a challenging opponent and nearly picked up the road win. Philip Rivers needs to find Antonio Gates the ball. 9.(11.) New Orleans (3-1): The Saints' chances of going undefeated came to an end in Carolina, but they battled back to make it a game. 10.(16.) Atlanta (3-1): Morten Andersen was a busy man on Sunday. they'll have to find the end zone with greater frequency to stay in the top-10. 11.(5.) Jacksonville (2-2): The Jaguars lost a barn burner to the Redskins and that performance against the Steelers already feels like a long time ago. 12.(12.) Dallas (2-1): One Terrell Owens saga ends with a huge win at Tennessee and a new one begins this week as they prepare to face the Eagles. 13.(13.) Denver (2-1): The Jay Cutler campaign continued despite the bye. 14.(14.) Carolina (2-2): The difference that Steve Smith makes is huge and is why he should have been the MVP last season. 15.(9.) Minnesota (2-2): The Bills are better than advertised, but the Vikings were expected to beat them. The lack of production from Chester Taylor has to be a cause for concern. 16.(15.) Pittsburgh (1-2): Hopefully the bye will give Ben Roethlisberger time to heal, as Shawn Merriman and the Chargers provide a tough challenge to any offense. 17.(18.) Washington (2-2): While tall receivers like Randy Moss struggle, Santana Moss, along with Smith, is redefining the position. 18.(19.) St. Louis (3-1): The Rams defense that looked new and improved against the Broncos, gave up 34 points to Mike Martz and the Lions. 19.(17.) New York Giants (1-2): The Giants were expecting a Week 5 win versus Washington, but there is no doubt which side has the momentum. 20.(21.) Buffalo (2-2): Eric Moulds touchdown was one of the best plays of Week 4. 21.(20.) New York Jets (2-2): The Jets are clearly the most resilient team of the NFL's bottom third. 22.(27.) Kansas City (1-2): Let's see if Larry Johnson and the Chiefs will find the same offensive stride they had versus the Niners next week against Arizona, another team with a horrible defensive unit. 23.(22.) Miami (1-3): Having the Dolphins this high is too generous for a team with such high hopes that has been an extreme disappointment. 24.(23.) Arizona (1-3): Let the Matt Leinart area begin. 25.(24.) Green Bay (1-3): They played the Eagles close for just over 30 minutes. 26.(25.) San Francisco (1-3): The new and improved Niners offense was left behind in San Francisco, holding Tony Bennett's heart. 27.(30.) Cleveland (1-3): Charlie Frye looks like a solid NFL quarterback. 28.(32.) Houston (1-3): The monkey on Mario Williams' back just loosened his grip a little bit. 29.(26.) Tampa Bay (0-3): The Buccaneers will look to record their first win against a feisty Saints team. 30.(28.) Detroit (0-4): Mike Martz has the Lions scoring points, if only their defense could begin to even think about stopping someone. 31.(31.) Tennessee (0-4): Things don't get any easier for the Titans this week against the Colts. 32.(29.) Oakland (0-3): Maybe the Raiders are that special to go winless; I thought they would beat the Browns.
