Adrian Peterson ran for a 64-yard touchdown on Sunday, becoming the oldest player in NFL history to record a touchdown run of 60-plus yards since Jim Thorpe did so in 1921 as a 34-year-old.
It was the longest touchdown run for Peterson, 33, since 2013.
Peterson has 127 carries for 587 yards and four touchdowns, and another nine catches for 151 yards and a touchdown in seven games with the Washington Redskins.
The Dallas Cowboys are conducting due diligence on Amari Cooper in consideration of a trade.
Cooper is believed to be on the trade block by the Oakland Raiders.
Washington and the Indianapolis Colts have also reached out to the Raiders on Cooper.
The Cowboys traded first-, third-, sixth- and seventh-round picks to the Detroit Lions in 2008 for wide receiver Roy Williams.
Cooper is in the NFL's concussion protocol, but the Raiders are on a bye this week and don't play again until Oct. 28 against Indianapolis.
Adrian Peterson said he suffered a dislocated shoulder during Monday night's game between the Washington Redskins and New Orleans Saints.
Jay Gruden initially called the injury a strained shoulder and said Peterson would get an MRI on Tuesday to determine if there's any issue.
"It's not going to keep me out," Peterson said. "I came back into the game. It was just a situation where it was sore.
"I just thank God it wasn't worse."
Peterson finished Monday's game with four carries for 6 yards and two catches for 36 more.
