Portis Headed To Injured Reserve
Redskins running back Clinton Portis will be placed on the injured reserve, meaning he's done for the season.
Portis recently aggravated a groin injury that has kept him out since Week 4 of the season.
Brennan Remains Hospitalized, In Stable Condition
Former University of Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennan remains hospitalized after he was hurt in a two-car crash on Hawaii's Big Island.
Officials say Brennan is in stable condition. The 27-year-old was admitted after Friday's crash in serious condition.
Police say Brennan was a passenger in an SUV that crossed a highway centerline and collided head-on with a sedan driven by a 47-year-old woman.
Portis To Return As Washington's Starter
Redskins running back Clinton Portis will start against the Titans in his return to the field on Sunday, according to a team source.
Portis has not played since Oct. 3 because of a groin injury.
Redskins To Have Depleted Secondary Against Titans
The Redskins will be without safety LaRon Landry and cornerback Carlos Rogers on Sunday against the Titans.
Landry and Rogers did not travel with Washington to Tennessee.
Rogers is fighting a sore right hamstring, while Landry has a sore Achilles' tendon.
Brennan In Serious Condition Following Crash
Former Redskins quarterback Colt Brennan is in serious condition in a Honolulu hospital with head trauma, broken ribs, and a broken left clavicle sustained in a car accident.
"We know there's three or four broken ribs, left clavicle and head trauma. I think the word we got is I won't say stable but the next critical to stable type situation right now," his father, Terry Brennan, told KHON by telephone from his Irvine, Calif., home, "and they're still monitoring the issues with the head injuries."
Brennan suffered the non-life-threatening injuries when the car in which he was riding collided head-on with another Friday on the Big Island.
Portis Will Return For Redskins
Redskins running back Clinton Portis will return to action this Sunday against the Titans.
Portis has missed five games with a sore groin.
He has 49 carries for 195 yards and two touchdowns this season.
Brennan In Hospital After Car Accident
Former Redskins quarterback Colt Brennan was hospitalized after a two-car accident in Honolulu, according to a report out of Hawaii.
The Star-Advertiser said local police responded to an accident on Queen Kaahumanu Highway on Friday morning after a call of an overturned vehicle.
McNabb: I'll Be Here For Years To Come
Donovan McNabb sounds as if he's prepared to spend the foreseeable future in Washington, D.C.
Just a day after signing a four-year extension with the Redskins that has received quite a bit of attention, McNabb said he sees himself becoming a fixture with the franchise.
"I will be here next year...I'll be here for years to come," McNabb said Tuesday afternoon on his weekly appearance on ESPN 980. "Not just next year, but after that as well."
In extending McNabb through 2015, the Redskins included language that gives McNabb an extra $3.5 million this season but the remaining years in the deal are not guaranteed.
NFL Looking Into Eagles-Redskins Spitting Claim
The NFL is looking into Eagles center Mike McGlynn's accusation that Redskins safety LaRon Landry spit at him during Monday night's game.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Tuesday the league checks for video evidence any time there is a report of a player spitting on another during a game.
