Pacman To Meet With Goodell Next Week

May 19, 2014 10:05 PM

Adam "Pacman" Jones will meet with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on April 3 to discuss the Tennessee Titans cornerback's run-ins with the law. A person within the league familiar with Jones' situation told The Associated Press that a hearing will occur April 3. That person requested anonymity because the hearing has not been announced. Goodell is unlikely to make any decision on a suspension or fine at that time, because the commissioner's new, stricter player conduct policy has not been completed.

Vegas Police Recommend Charges Against Pacman

May 18, 2014 2:11 AM

Police in Las Vegas will recommend to the city's district attorney that Pacman Jones be charged with one count of felony coercion and also a midsdemeanor count of battery and a misdemeanor count of threat to life. "It took approximately five weeks to investigate this and it's not something we took lightly," Las Vegas Metro police lieutenant George Castro said at a Monday press conference. "We had to look at a lot of video and it came from five sources. "You can only imagine what it was like that night, very violent, very chaotic, so some of the information we had was very sketchy."

Pacman Could Learn Fate This Week

May 18, 2014 7:35 AM

Pacman Jones' future with the Titans could be decided by the end of this week, even before commissioner Roger Goodell announces his stricter personal conduct policy. Titans coach Jeff Fisher told the Daily News on Sunday at the league meetings that he anticipates a decision will be made "by the end of the week" regarding the cornerback's status with the team. "Immediate or long-term or a combination of both," he said. "I can't comment. At this point, there's too much information forthcoming over the next week or so. The difficult part is there is a lot of information we have been unable to obtain to this point." Jones could be suspended by Goodell. Another possibility is the Titans could cut Jones.
