Giants Will Be Without Andre Brown For Four Games
The NFL has suspended Giants backup running back Andre Brown for four games for violating the league policy on performance-enhancing substances.
He spent last season on New York's practice squad.
Brown may be best known to fans as the Giant who started the popular "I got a ring!" celebration on their plane trip home after the Super Bowl.
Brown's chant was recorded by a teammate and the video went viral.
Bears Agree To One-Year Deal With Devin Thomas
The Bears agreed to terms on a one-year contract with WR Devin Thomas today.
Thomas joins the Bears after two seasons with the Giants (2010-11), in which he had 25 kickoff returns for 607 yards (24.3 ypr), three receptions for 37 yards (12.3 ypc) and eight special teams tackles in 20 contests.
During the Giants Super Bowl Championship run, Thomas had two fumble recoveries (including one that set up the game winning field goal in overtime of the NFC Championship at San Francisco) and one special teams tackle while appearing in all four contests for New York.
Coughlin Isn't Concerned With Attention Jets Have Received
The Giants are coming off a Super Bowl win over the Patriots, but most of New York is buzzing over the arrival of Tim Tebow as the newest member of the Jets.
Tom Coughlin, who is in line for a contract extension with the Giants, says that fans in New York remember championships above all else.
His team has won two of the last five Super Bowls.
"You know who won the Super Bowl, you know who the world champions are," Coughlin said. "Whether we're on the front page every day or not, it's not that important. New Yorkers know."

The 49ers agreed to a one-year contract with former Giants running back Brandon Jacobs, a league source said Wednesday.
Jacobs is the second former Giant to join the 49ers this offseason, following receiver Mario Manningham, who signed a two-year contract last week.
Giants Expect To Sign Coughlin To Long-Term Deal
The Giants plan to sign Tom Coughlin to a long-term contract sometime within the next four to six weeks.
New York has won two of the last five Super Bowls under the head coach.
"We've had a lot of good discussions since the Super Bowl, and I have no doubt it's going to get done very soon," co-owner John Mara said. "As I've said, Tom is our guy, and we think we have the best coach in the league."
Coughlin, the NFL's oldest coach, will turn 66 this year.
Giants-Cowboys To Open 2012 Season
The Super Bowl champion Giants will host the Cowboys at MetLife Stadium on Sept. 5 to kick off the 2012 regular season.
The regular season has started on a Thursday since 2002, but the league moved this year's opener up a day to avoid a conflict with President Barack Obama's planned speech at the Democratic National Convention.

The Jaguars have reached a three-year agreement with cornerback Aaron Ross, according to a league source.
The contract is worth up to $15.3 million.
Ross had a career-best four interceptions in 2011.

Free agent wide receiver Mario Manningham has reached an agreement on a two-year deal with the 49ers.
Drew Rosenhaus confirmed to The Associated Press on Saturday night his client had reached a deal with the NFC West champions.
